Incubation and infectious period of influenza A (H5): A rapid evidence summary

Share:

The United Kingdom Security Agency produced a rapid summary of the evidence on the human incubation and infectious period for influenza A(H5). There were 11 studies included between 2003 and 2014 from Asia which limited the generalizability of the findings. Despite this limitation, the estimated range of the infectious period was between 5 and 13 days (1), and 2 and 11 days (2); and the estimated incubation period was between 2 and 10 days.
