UK Veterinary Antibiotic Resistance and Sales Surveillance Report 2021

This year’s UK-VARSS report continues to document downward trends in sales of veterinary antibiotics in the UK. Veterinary antibiotic sales overall, and sales of antibiotic classes which are of critical importance to human health, both reduced by a small amount to reach new lowest recorded levels for the UK at 28.3 mg/kg and 0.12 mg/kg, respectively.
