Sakatchewan chronic wasting disease (CWD) program. All deaths of cervids over 12 months of age, from any cause including slaughter, must be reported to the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture within 24 hours of discovery. Samples may be tested for chronic wasting disease (CWD).
