CWSHIN Laboratory investigation - Streptococcus

From samples submitted to PDS or VDS for routine diagnostics the laboratories will select all cases where Streptococcus suis or Streptococcus equi zooepidemicus are identified. When a case is selected: the submitting practitioner will be contacted and asked to provide further information on the case, herd tombstone and baselines data in a survey, and PDS will perform resistance testing and whole genome sequencing.
