Bovine Tuberculosis in British Columbia Wildlife

The BC Wildlife Health Program, in collaboration with partners (First Nations, the B.C. Ministry of Agriculture and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA)), is conducting bovine tuberculosis testing on hunter-harvested deer to monitor for bovine tuberculosis in a localized area of the B.C. interior: Management Units 3-12, 3-19, 3-20. To date, bovine tuberculosis has not been detected in BC wildlife.
